Finding the blue and white striped suit

I've never gotten so many emails about a 3-year-old Old Navy swimsuit. Plus, where we stayed in Mexico.

“Can you drop the link to the blue and white striped suit you’re wearing in the Mexico pics?”

Since that post about what I brought to Mexico went out, direct messages and comments on that post clamored for a singular desire: that swimsuit. Regrettably, such is the predicament of donning a 2022 Old Navy swimsuit—the colorway has long since been discontinued.

While Old Navy still offers a swimsuit with the same coverage and silhouette (and in a lot of cute colors and patterns), I was unable to locate the blue and white variation.

Here are a few similar options in the same colorway, though if you can leave the stripes behind, my number one rec is still to get those same bottoms but in a different design.

But if it’s stripes you seek, I found three good ones!

  1. Another Old Navy option: This suit has great coverage without being frumpy (I have it in all black), and it’s affordable. I know Old Navy gets a weird rap but I have only ever had great luck with their stuff. One friend of mine calls me the Old Navy Whisperer because I always find the best stuff there. And considering the suit in question is three seasons old Old Navy, there’s something to be said for the longevity of their stuff if you take care of it correctly.

  2. CupShe: Okay so this one is out of stock, but it’s supposed to be coming back soon so if this is the silhouette you’re looking for, keep it on your radar.

  3. This is J. Crew: Bottoms and tops sold separately so you can mix and match.
