I narrowed down *400* advent calendars to just 8 picks

Every year, someone will ask me for a roundup of advent calendars. In SEPTEMBER. It feels early, sure, but a look around the internet and you’ll see that we’re not the only group searching high and low for the best countdown cals money can buy for the upcoming holiday season.

The problem is, there are SO many advent calendars.

Not all of them are good.

Most of them are not worth it.

And worst of all, lots of the treats tucked inside feel like junk — which sucks. That’s often why I often opt for consumable calendars or designed-to-be-decor calendars like my 1989 LL Bean calendar below (this one is on ebay for $150+; I found mine at Goodwill for $6!).

But you guys LOVE advent cals, so I took this very seriously. I feel confident that I whittled down the HUNDREDS of options to 8 really solid buys.
