The autumnal neutral you didn't know you needed

Flagship shut down over the summer and I told you I’d create a hub for you to find my recs from Instagram without having to frantically screenshot every Gee Thanks! story, fearing its ephemeral existence.

It’s not exactly Flagship. What I adored there was being able to check out from multiple brands in one go and having those sweet automatic discounts (no codes, no fuss!). But this is such a solid alternative, and honestly? I think it’s going to save all of us during the holiday season.

We’re going to play with this right now, actually, as we explore Fall’s hottest trend: cow print. Leopard print also, yes, but cow is really having it’s moo-ment. It’s bold, but less “loud” than some other prints. Vogue calls it “the sleek alternative to leopard” which, I mean, okay. Go all in with a big statement piece or sneak it in as a little accent. The neutral (or MOO-tral, I’m here all week!) palette of white, cream, and brown means it plays nice with basically every autumnal color and texture. Black and white? Sure, yes, but I would stay away from it in the context of outfits or else you may serve Halloween. The black and white also somehow cheapens the pattern in a way that brown and cream do not, IMO. If you are nervous about incorporating the print into an outfit, start from the bottom up, not the top down. Pants over tops, skirts over jackets. And if you really want to play it safe, go with belts, bags or shoes before you buy a piece of clothing.
