The nugget ice maker is on BIG SALE. Don't make the same mistake I did.
I have one regret, and I'll tell you about it here.
Hi Geezers!
You know that Target Circle Week started this week, with hundreds of deals across all categories — home, kitchen, apparel and more. Plus, with a Target debit or credit card, you can get an extra 5% off on top of the sale prices.
You know that Prime Day deals have already started dropping, and you know that Walmart entered the race yesterday at 5pm with their own big sales event.
If you’re going to buy the nugget ice machine this month, know that both Walmart and Amazon will have competing deals. Currently, the price has dropped below $400 on Walmart, while Amazon’s likely won’t drop until actual Prime Day.
I bought mine on Amazon and I narrowly escaped what could have been a disaster should something have been wrong with the machine: Walmart has a better return policy. With 90 days to return the nugget ice maker, you get a little more peace of mind than Amazon’s 30 day policy. And if you’re a Costco member, look into buying yours there — the lifetime return policy beats out Walmart’s. But at Costco it’ll cost you about $500 vs $397. So weigh what’s important to you!
I love the nugget ice maker. I used to be the most dehydrated person on the face of this earth, and this ice maker has officially bumped me out out of that spot. People come over to my house just for the ice; I try not to take too much offense. I love it so much I gifted one to my ex-husband after I moved out of our house because even though our marriage was over I still thought we both deserved good ice.
Some reviews say it’s loud, I say I don’t notice the whirr at all. It’s like a little white noise background, and it’s consistent. I have set it up in three different apartments since I bought it without issue. (If you live in a place with hard water, the minerals can cause build up in the machine over time, according to the instruction booklet. You can either chance it and use tap water and hope for the best or use distilled water and put off having to do a big machine take-apart! I use tap water. So far so good.) It’s easy to refill, straightforward to set up, and the ice is unmatched.
And I get texts like this all the time (keep ‘em coming!):
