This hack lets you keep all your kids' art (while throwing most of it away 🤫)
A totally inspired idea that comes with a code (duh!)
Hey Geezers,
I’m not a mom but I know a lot of you are. So last week I asked you what you wanted for Mother’s Day. Just: what do you genuinely want? And I was loling because the answers were…extremely consistent? You were almost aggressive in your clarity!
Here’s what you don’t want: a random candle you’ve never smelled or mentioned wanting, anything that requires shelf space, and absolutely nothing that says “Mom” on it.
What you actually want is time, space, and, above all, sleep.
Over and over, the message was the same: take something off my plate. Not more things, relief. You want someone to plan something without asking you a single question, to handle the logistics, to think ahead so you don’t have to. You want help with meal prep, whether that’s someone doing it for you or outsourcing it entirely. You want to sleep in without interruption. Preferably both on Saturday and Sunday of Mother’s Day weekend.
You want anything, any small hack, that makes life even a little bit easier.
A hack, you say? Okay, that I can help you with. I feel like over and over again, I see Geezers in the Facebook group looking for ways to archive, feature, or store their kids’ art, while also acknowledging they don’t want to keep every single scribble, and also admitting it feels kind of awful to throw those scribbles away.
What about the Aura Frame? We’ve been talking about the Aura digital photo frame for years. It’s that really beautiful, WiFi-connected frame that lets you display and organize photos and videos without any effort. You (and anyone you invite) can send pictures straight from your phone to the frame. All photos live in the cloud with unlimited storage, and no subscription is required. The photos autoscroll and you can add new ones from anywhere. And multiple people can add photos to the same frame. Great. Awesome. My parents love theirs (it’s all pictures of Lottie, duh).
We constantly recommend these for new grandparents, and they always land. It’s such an easy way for parents and in-laws to get a steady stream of new photos of their favorite tiny humans, all popping up in a chic frame that actually looks good in their home.
And Aura partnered with us for Mother’s Day so they gave us a code — you can use code GEETHANKS for $35 off my favorite frame (the Aspen) through May 13. That’s better than their current deal on the site.
BUT OKAY, listen to this. Talk about a HACK:
You should get an Aura Frame for the sole purpose of TAKING PHOTOS OF YOUR KIDS’ ARTWORK.
You just snap a photo of their masterpiece, upload it to the Aura, and it appears on your frame. Then you can (🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫) toss the scribbles and keep just a small collection of “originals”.
Like, is this not the most genius idea? Shop now with code GEETHANKS for $35 off.
I also got this answer: Upgrade the everyday things in my life to the fancy versions!
So I put together a very cute, tried-and-true gift guide for ya of some of the best upgrades and products I love that are sometimes hard to justify buying for yourself. Everything from fancy socks from Susan Alexandra x Bombas, fancy sunglasses, fancy scarves, fancy vases, art, and caviar! There’s something for everyone (mom or not!)
More soon!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS. Is anyone listening to Love Trapped? Can we talk about it?????
PS. WE HAVE A DOTY!
